Is it a perfect replacement for Progynon Depot / Estrofem?
As you know in early 2016, Progynon Depot was discontinued by Bayer Zydus. Many women were under this medication for quite long. By this action they were left in dark, unable to find the best suitable alternative to it.
Estrofem is the drug which has Estradiol as its main active ingredient. Few women switched over to Oral Estradiol due to sudden crisis.
Oestrogel 0.06% can be called the best alternative to Progynon Depot because, it is not required to be injected into the blood which eventually becomes quite painful after few time of injecting.
Secondly Oestrogel is odourless and does not cause any irritation which makes it the best alternative to Progynon Depot. You can read our blog about discontinuation of Estradiol Valerate Injection from here.
